Supreme Court tells SEBI to share requested papers with Reliance

The Supreme Court have directed the Securities and Exchange Board of India to share selected investigation documents that Reliance Industries Ltd have sought.

In a long 42 page order, a three judge bench led by Chief Justice NV Ramana on 05-08-2022 have said that SEBI was selectively disclosing documents related to the case.

Reliance Industries Ltd have requested 3 Documents which includes opinions of retired Supreme Court Judge B N Srikrishna and a Report by Chartered Accountant Y H Malegam.

SEBI have told earlier that the documents in question contains “privileged” information and there is no required for disclosure at current stage, The court have not agreed to this and directed to provide documents.
