Mr India (1985) fame Calander aka Satish Kaushik is no more, he took his last breath today. Preliminary postmortem reports says actor died of cardiac attack.

Later yesterday the actor shared his Holi pics with various Bollywood Actors on his Social Media Accounts and today the news came of his demise.

Satish Kaushik was a versatile Indian film personality who excelled as an actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. He started his career as an assistant director to Shekhar Kapur in the 1983 film Masoom and made his acting debut in the same year with Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. He was an alumnus of India's National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. He acted in more than 100 films, playing memorable roles such as Calendar in Mr India, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana, Mutthu Swami in Saajan Chale Sasural and Radhe Shyam Tiwari in Tere Naam. He won two Filmfare Awards for Best Comedian for his roles in Ram Lakhan and Saajan Chale Sasural. He also directed several successful films such as Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Badhaai Ho Badhaai. He won two National Film Awards for his films Sardari Begum and Teree Sang. He also wrote dialogues for films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Chameli Ki Shaadi and Ram Lakhan. He produced films like Karzzzz, Shaadi Se Pehle and Gang of Ghosts. He was admired by his colleagues and fans for his wit, humour and warmth. He was a close friend of Anil Kapoor, who called him his younger brother. He passed away on March 9, 2023 due to a heart attack.
